Using REST API in Oracle Cloud HCM

edited Sep 14, 2019 5:16PM in HCM Integrations 5 comments

Summary

REST stands for Representational State Transfer.Web services that use REST are known as RESTful APIs. I have tried to demonstrate the use of REST API in Oracle Cloud HCM .

Content

REST API has these methods :

GET is used to retrieve the details.

PATCH is used to update.

POST is used to Create /Insert.

DELETE is used to delete.

In Oracle HCM Cloud there are certain REST APIs for Employees, Absences, Organizations, Job, Grade, Locations and Positions etc.  Using which we can perform the above operations for accessing the data and integrating with external applications.
