Workforce compensation- calculate factor based on dates

Need to calculate 'YEARFRAC' based on workforce comp sheet date

Content

Hi,

We need to calculate the budgetary impact of a promotion increase based on the date this increase was granted.  This date is not necessarily the date that was specified in the cycle (it can be overwritten in the compensation worksheet).  In excel we would use a YEARFRAC function to calculate during which portion of the calendar year the promotion increase has effect.

I was thinking on retrieving the end/beginning of the calendar year based on the cycle dates in a default and override fast formula and perform the necessary calculations there.  However I don't know how I could "call" the date specified in the workforce comp sheet in the formula, since it is not a cycle date?

Howdy, Stranger!
