Multiple Corrections on a W-2c
Summary
While posting a correction on a W-2c, the 'Previously Reported' column shows values from W-2 and not the W-2cContent
Issue: While posting a correction on a W-2c, the 'Previously Reported' column shows values from W-2 and not the W-2c
Steps:
1. Generate W-2 with Box 16 (SIT Reduced Subject Withholdable) as $100,000
2. Make Balance Adjustments to make SIT Reduced Subject Withholdable $120,000
3. Run W-2c Archive and W-2c Register. Corrected Value shows $120,000 and Previously Reported shows $100,000
4. File to SSA. Identify a mistake after filing.
5. Make Balance Adjustments to make SIT Reduced Subject Withholdable $115,000
6. Run W-2c Archive and W-2c Register for a second time. Corrected Value shows $115,000, but Previously Reported shows $100,000 (value from W-2) instead of $120,000 (value from the first W-2c)
