Redudant Worklist and Email Notifications for Learning

Hi Folks,

Is it just me, or are learners being subjected to redundant worklist/e-mail notifications when a workflow-based transaction is completed in OLC? Allow me to elaborate with an example below:

We have defined a pretty basic approval rule for the 'learning request' workflow. Basically:

  • IF the learning item type = offering
  • THEN route to 'management hierarchy' for approval (learner's current line manager)

The trouble is not with the approval itself, but rather, the notifications that the learner receives when the workflow is fulfilled. During the course of the workflow, the following notifications are triggered:

  1. An FYI notification that the request has been submitted for approval --> when the learner submits the request for the offering
