Preventing Overlapping Entries of the Same Time Type

Employees can enter overlapping time for the same time type, creating an improper double counting of time worked


This manifests in several scenarios, and appears to continue in the Responsive UI (NUX) for Time Entry. See scenarios below. Does anyone have any insights into configuration to prevent overlapping reported time based on time type? Alternatively, or in addition to this, has anyone generated useful detective reporting so central offices can better support time-approving managers and catch innocent or malicious time-based theft?

Scenario 1

Simple illustration

User enters the following entries in their time card:

Entry 1: Time Card 1, Monday, Regular Earnings, 2:00p-4:00p
