How long will it take for the deleted compartments not to be returned from the API response ?

I have deleted few compartments from the console. When using REST API for the list of compartments, I am getting the deleted compartments as well in the response.

Wanted to know, how long it will take(retention) for deleted compartments to be not returned from API response.
