How to convert a field (formula) from number to text or vice verse

edited Dec 13, 2022 7:10AM in Taleo Enterprise 5 comments

Summary

Would like to combine two columns using CASE statement, one is with number format, the other is with text format

Content

I have two columns in one report. Both of them are working fine.

One returns number type: CASE WHEN "Requisition Flex Fields"."UDF29" = '29A' THEN CAST(REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE (LEFT ("Requisition Flex Fields"."UDF30", 7), '$',''), '-', ' '), ',', '') AS DOUBLE) END/ CASE "Requisition Flex Fields"."UDF22" WHEN '22A' THEN 165.333 WHEN '22B' THEN 156 END

The other one returns text type: CASE WHEN "Requisition Flex Fields"."UDF29" = '29B' THEN REPLACE(LEFT("Requisition Flex Fields"."UDF30", 7),'$','') END

Howdy, Stranger!
