Is it possible to use earning element in benefits and send to payroll

Hi ,

We have a requirement where we need to have an earning element in benefits. During enrollment we need to select the value which would eventually gets processed in payroll and should reflect in Statement of earning. We created an element as imputed earning and tried it. However ended up with some error.

Now question is whether its possible or not to have earning element in Benefits enrollment?

In case anyone has come across such requirement, any input is highly appreciated. 

Also let me know how exactly the element was configured.
