Attributes to show few of the components in the item structure in sales order and shipping documents

We have a few items (Both model and standard structure type) where the requirement is to display few of the marked components (through some flag) in the sales order screen and in the customer facing documents (sales order acknowledgement and shipping documents). We found the below attributes in the item structure details screen which by the name is kind of related to the requirement what we have but couldn’t leverage that as its not working.

 

Question: what is the usage of the below five fields and the implication downstream. Also if the below fields cant be leveraged for the above mentioned requirement, what can be the work around to leverage this requirement.
