Number of Future Enterable Periods - AR future revenue schedule perspective

What is the best practice in setting up the number of Future Enterable Periods in case where AR has 5+ years of future revenue schedule.

The scenario is that we have one future enterable period in Ledger options in GL. And we have revenue schedules in AR for 60 or more periods. In this scenario, when we try to create accounting an invoice with revenue scheduling rule (for about 12 months), system complains that 'The accounting date 01-****-XX is not in an open or a future enterable period.'. The accounting calendars are defined for all the future periods. Does that mean system expect to set the Future enterable periods to the extent the revenue schedule can go? What is the best practice around this?
