In the event of a manufacturer back order of an inventory stocked item, what is the best way to manage an item substitution using Oracle?  I would like to have the item built in the PIM, etc, so inventory control or buy could easily select the sub item to requisition or add to a PO and receive with no or minimal manual transactions required throughout the process.
