Pasting into message templates from word

Hi,

Does anyone know if fluid will fix the issue if a recruiter pastes text from word into a message template/offer? When they do this, it can cause an error when trying to print an offer letter because there's an invalid character (caused by pasting in word). 

I feel like I've heard something like this, or similar to this, but I can't find any supporting documents.
