DAR - for all requisitions Excluding requisitions in "Intern" Job field

Is it possible to have DAR for requisition approval for all requisitions - excluding requisitions in the "Intern" Job Family? We do not want to route Intern requisitions for approval.

Currently the recruiter user type does NOT have the following permissions:

• Amend an approval path created by this user
• Amend an approval path created by another user (user
• Edit Approvers when requesting approvals
• Save Requisitions as Open

 

Is the only option to create a separate user type? I have tried creating an exclusion rule but it did not work.

 

Are there any other companies that use DAR but exclude certain requisitions? How did you exclude them?
