Dear Customers / Support:

This article comes courtesy of my colleague Mara Prieto.

It came to our attention that some customers are creating requisitions using the Purchase Request Web Service and providing the interface source code, also referred to as import source code, with the value 'SCO'. They do that because they want to create purchase orders combining requisitions created via Oracle Inventory Min-Max and requisitions created from other external application. Currently there is a limitation in Oracle Purchasing that you cannot group requisition lines with different import source codes into a single purchase order. So, using the import source code as 'SCO' is a way around this limitation.

Howdy, Stranger!
