EDMCS - Removing or Deleting a Node Type

Summary

Is there a way to remove or delete node types in EDMCS?

We had created 2 node types bound to the viewpoint to make few properties mandatory for one but optional for the other node type. Now we don’t have this requirement and so we want to at least remove one node type from the viewpoint. How can we do that? Also how can we delete a redundant but bound node type without impacting the viewpoint?
