How to retreive previous "Sales Stage Names"?

Hello,

I have a requirement in which I need to highlight all "Sales Stage Names" that have been assigned to that particular Opportunity over its period of existence.

For example I am looking to return something similar to below;

Opportunity ID	Opportunity Name	Sales Stage Name	Sales Stage Staus
123	ABC_TEST	Preparation	OPEN
123	ABC_TEST	Submitted	OPEN
123	ABC_TEST	Expected	OPEN
123	ABC_TEST	Received	OPEN
123	ABC_TEST	Successful	WON

The problem I have is that once this "Sales Stage Name" is updated within the UI I'm not entirely sure whether I lose that previous "Sales Stage Name" or it can be retrieved from somewhere through OTBI or BIP.
