Summary

Gives current status of recent UK announcement regarding Statutory Sick Pay

Content

Many of you will have seen the announcement by the prime minister saying that SSP will be paid from day 1 rather than day 4 for workers affected by coronavirus.  At this time no details have been announced as to when this will be implemented, whether it will apply to all workers or only certain categories, and whether this is a temporary or permanent change.

Oracle are aware of this potential development and are monitoring this.  Once formal details are available, we will be in a position to review this and provide information as to how this will be handled, and whether application changes are needed.
