Net change count of hires and terms by month and by year

Calculate the difference between number of hires in a month and number of terminations in a month each year

I've set-up a custom report with pivot tables to get me a count of new hires by month and a count of termination by month for each year (one table for term statuses and one table for employed statuses - sample report attached).

I would like to try and get a separate table that would give me the net change count of hires and terms by month and by year (i.e., I had two people terminate in January, but hired six people in that same month, so I have a net change of +4 employees).
