Turnover Reporting - Do you use Actual Termination Date or Termination Start Date (+1 day)?

Went live a few months back and have always used actual termination date for turnover metrics. Trying to gauge if companies are using that date and how they are doing their reporting?

At our company, we have historically used actual termination date to drive our turnover reporting prior to go-live with Oracle HCM.  According to SHRM, it is based on the measurement period in which the termination occurs.  The grey area that is not clearly defined is what termination date is considered the "measurement period".  If there is a term on the day last of the month, the term will fall into different measurement periods.   We went live a few months back and I'm trying to gauge if we are not in alignment with the rest of the user community.  I definitely want to
