At our company, we have historically used actual termination date to drive our turnover reporting prior to go-live with Oracle HCM. According to SHRM, it is based on the measurement period in which the termination occurs. The grey area that is not clearly defined is what termination date is considered the "measurement period". If there is a term on the day last of the month, the term will fall into different measurement periods.
