Marking Learning Record to "In Progress" Status through HDL

Hi,

We have a requirement to mark activities as "Completed" status for Learning Record through HDL . We are able to achieve desired results with the HDL. If an Offering has 4 activities, we have requirement to mark only 2 activities as 'Completed", could anyone please suggest in case we mark only 2 activities to completed status out of 4 through HDL, what would be the status of Offering or Course. Will it be "In Progress" or it will not changed?
