SSN not visible on person record posted by BG Check vendor

We are not able to see SSN on the person record. We have created an API user account and shared with the BG Check vendor and assigned all required privileges. The vendor is confirming that they are posting the PII data back. Although we are able to see DOB and not SSN.

Has anyone faced this issue and if there have been any solutions? Thanks.
