Delete Compensation options

Hello Experts,

I trust all are doing well and safe.

I am implementing the Individual Compensation for one of our clients. I have a query regarding the options showing in while deleting the compensation.

When I am trying to delete the compensation, a pop up appears with three options of the Delete:

1. Delete

2. Discontinue on specified date

3. Continue after end date

Can anyone help me with the significance and use of each of these options? in what cases or scenarios each of these delete options can be used? Which option should preferably be used? Please advise.
