DEGREE - for Profile Mapping we Dont see ITEM_DATE_1 and ITEM_DATE_2

Hi, In the Old UI We used the seeded DEGREE

We used the ITEM_DATE_1 And ITEM_DATE_2

Now in the mapping tool the application will not let me to map it to ITEM_DATE_1 And ITEM_DATE_2 in the NEW UI But Only to a Flex Field

1. any idea why ? why I cannot map it to ITEM_DATE_1 And ITEM_DATE_2 in the New UI?

2. Can we break the existing mapping that is Automatic happening in the mapping ??
