How to get the public IP address of an ODA instance for whitelisting

edited Jun 12, 2020 11:14PM in Digital Assistant 2 comments

Content

For SaaS customers using the Digital Assistant, if you have IP whitelisting in place on your SaaS instance, you will need to add the public-facing IP address of your ODA instance to that whitelist in order for the Digital assistant to work.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Download ipinfo(1.0).zip attached to this post and save it locally
  2. Login to ODA and in the Skills section, click the "Import Skill" button
  3. Browse for and select ipinfo(1.0).zip
  4. The Skill will be imported
  5. Search for ipinfo in the Skills dialog to locate the imported Skill
  6. Open the ipinfo skill, scroll to the bottom of the page and select the "play" icon to launch the Skill Tester
