Not able to connect to Fusion SaaS application via service catalog option

I am trying to connect to Fusion SaaS Application from VBCS using the service catalog option but not able to do so. I am continuously getting the error as "There was an error while fetching ADFm minimal and full describe from vb-catalog://backends/fa/fscmRestApi/latest/describe".
I have followed the steps mentioned in the below blog also related to setting up of Backend servers and application profiles but still not able to do so.
Also, please note the Oracle Fusion SaaS application on which I am trying to connect has the different identity domain as with VBCS, and I am assuming it shouldn't be an issue. As per my knowledge, we can connect any Fusion SaaS application with any VBCS, please correct me if my understanding is incorrect.
