Not receiving invoice approval notifications only for certain approval rules

Hi,

We have seperate invoice approval rules for PO, Non PO and credit memos.

We receive approval email notifications for both PO and Non PO instantaneously.

However for credit memos, the approvals are working fine, it shows up in the invoice action history.

However no email notifications.

I cant find it in the bell icon too.

Only when i click on More details and go to the worklist, i can find the invoice approval notification.

Why is it happening only for certain approval rules, while all other approval rules, i receive email notifications.
