Updates to Hire Date / Creative Use of Collapsing Rules

Summary

Solution when changes are made to hire date.

Content

Curious to see if anyone has found a cool solution to handle when updates are made to a Hire Date. Right now I create my Data Change Rules so that anytime Hire Date on PER_PERIODS_OF_SERVICE is updated, the New Hire event is triggered, but has anyone found a way to make the new event go to manual status somehow? This way it "triggers" someone to go out and look at it. Right now most of the time when Hire Date is updated, a Benefits Admin must be manually notified to correct the New Hire life event as needed.
