How to enable / disable the MFAR / Multifund Accounting once a transaction got created over the BU ?

Hello,

I am not able to enable multifund accounting in Accounts Receivable.  I opted into the feature, Create Multifund Accounting and then checked the box (enable multifund accounting) in Manage Receivables System Options.

I get the following error:

"You can't enable multifund accounting because one or more business units associated with the ledger assigned to this business unit have existing transactions. (AR-857775)"

We had previously implemented Financials prior to the introduction of multifund accounting.  We had transactions in the system and that is what is preventing us from enabling the option through no fault of our own.
