Unable to remove inactive buttons on 20B mobile responsive UI pages that have no functionality

As soon as we activated mobile responsive UI pages, we found these inactive, unlabeled buttons in the upper right corner of many of these new pages.  We tried removing them, but it removed the submit button found on other pages.  What is the purpose of these buttons and how do we remove them?
