How to stop collecting inactive items in Planning

Hi Gurus,

We are collecting items from PIM,which we collected and loaded history for the same. Due to some issue we updated items as inactive in PIM and planning method as 'Not Planned' for Item Master and Child Orgs. But items were still getting collected in Planning.

-- I already tried ESS Job using "Purge Data Repository" but items were not getting deleted from MSC tables.

Do we need update any other attribute to stop collecting those items in planning?
