Restrict Hiring Manager's view in candidate serach

We would like the ability to restrict the hiring managers view so they cannot see every candidate. We are provisioning the hiring manager role along with the line manager and don't want every line manager to see all candidate information/activity. We have limited the requisitions for hiring managers to be ones they are assigned to, would like candidate view to be similar. 

Has anyone had a similar requirement?
