Reassignment Functionality in Workforce Compensation

How do we identify employees who have been reassigned?

In the compensation plan, we would like for comp admins to reassign employees to a different manager using the delivered reassignment functionality available within worksheets prior to opening the plan for managers. There are no approvals needed. I have two questions:

1. How do we know how many people were reassigned as there are no delivered reports for identifying this population.

2. Also, I was under the assumption that we could use the pre-defined alert 'Primary worksheet manager does not match line manager' but I don't see this alert triggering when an employee is reassigned. What is the use case of this alert then?
