Talent pools inside talent review / succession not working

The add to talent pool or add talent pools search fields are not returning results.

Hello,

I've recently been configuring the Talent Review and Succession Management modules for our system and I'm having trouble with the talent pool sections inside both screens.  I have users set up with all the correct privileges, they can create and manage talent pools from the my client groups / talent pools quick action screen with no issue, but when I try to use the talent pool buttons inside these two screens I get no results.  I haven't been able to find any extra privileges or profile options related to these search boxes.
