Multiple managers wth different line manager roles

Hello, 

My client has asked if we can have multiple managers for a single employee. The two line managers would do different tasks in their Line manager job roles for the employee, one having all access and the other just performance and absence.

I know you can have multiple managers by creating another manager type but my question is can you associate a new line manager type (for example Secondary Line manager) to a line manager security role?
