edited Jul 24, 2020 2:38PM in Sales 2 comments

Summary

Quick Import Macros

Content

The macros are a learning tool and not meant to be used for day to day transactional imports or the import of large volumes of data. These macros are designed to simplify the import of data sets in the range of 5000 records.

You can use both 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Excel 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2019

Doc ID 2229503.1

General Instructions

  1. Download the Excel macro file(s) and the .jar file into a folder on your desktop.
  2. Follow the instructions in the appropriate chapters of the Getting Started with Your Sales Implementation guide on Oracle Help Center.

Note: Follow the general import order in this table because the import of some objects is dependent on the prior import of others. For example, to import accounts you must reference existing users because accounts must have owners. To import contacts, you must reference accounts and so on. Leads are not dependent on accounts or contacts because you are not linking lead information to existing accounts and contacts when you import.
