Inline Images New Feature in 20C

Does anyone know what exactly the inline images feature with 20C is supposed to do? It says that they will show up in the order that they were sent, but then also says they will be attached as an attachment. We've had this turned on for months, so it doesn't seem like a new feature. Is this just for sent emails from the agents?

 

EMBED IMAGES INLINE IN AGENT EMAILS

Configure the service request (SR) agent UI to embed images inline in email messages, in their original placement in the text. This lets agents view images in the proper context and helps ensure that they cleary understand the content of the communication. With this feature, when agents get inbound emails, the application automatically converts any inline images into SR attachments.
