Can Requisition Approvals be configured based on Item Class or Type

Hi All,

Can anyone provide recommendations on achieving the requirement where the REQ Approval Routings is to be defined based on Item Types or Classes 

Because the Client has a requirement to define approval routings based on 4-5 Item types that they have classified their Items into , your advice would highly appreciated
