Summary

Issue with Medicare Tax EE vs ER tax calculation with difference amount

Content

Hi All,

For one of our clients having issue with Medicare Tax EE vs ER tax calculation amount. As per rule 1.45% should calculate for both employee and employer but calculating with different amounts when there are higher earnings.

Example:

EMP Gross: 5000

Medicare ER Tax: 66.30

Medicare EE Tax:104.61

Can you suggest where it's going wrong?
