Approval Reminders Can the frequency be adjusted?

Hello,  We have established Dynamic Approval Routing with our requisitions.  The notification goes out to the first approver, then second after first approvers, etc.  However, if the second approver, third approver, does not approver/reject the requisitions let's say withihn 24 hours of the first notification.  a reminder email is sent the every day at the same time until the approver completes their task of approving or rejecting the requisition.  

My question to the group:  Is there a way to change the frequency of the reminder emails from daily to once a week or perhaps change the frequency at all?
