Processing Assignment Changes in Manage Job Offers to employees with current suspended assignment

Current Issue: An employee who is currently on a leave (has a suspended assignment) applies to a new position in the internal job board. The recruiter sends them an offer, the employee accepts. When the employee is brought over to Core HR to be processed in Manage Job Offers, the system makes us manually make the updates to the assignment record and does not pull any of the information from the job offer.

Has anyone else experienced this? We have a lot of suspended assignments who are still treated as employees who have applied internally to new positions and we have to manually update a lot of records.
