GL Jnl approval workflow fails for new ledger

Summary

We are creating a new ledger and have added the ledger into existing approval rules however when sending a journal for approval its errors, whereas sending it for another ledger in the same rule works

Content

We have configured a new GL which mirrors the setup of a another existing ledger and have added the new GL to existing Jnl approval rules. During UAT we find the users can input journals for the existing ledger fine (i.e. workflows go to approval as expected) however they simply error for the new ledger (which is using the same rule). Anyone had this issue, as it's blocking us from completing UA testing?
