Refreshing data while Comp cycle is open

what is the best way to refresh the employment changes while the comp cycle is on going?

We have on going manager, department, location, business unit changes as well as employees being terminated.  what is the best way to refresh this without interrupting the configuration? Ex: if a manager changes, I manually go to Administer worker -> search employee -> go to hierarchy -> make the change. similarly I override values in Administer worker or inactivate employee when terminated.  At times this becomes time consuming especially any executive resigns in the middle of the cycle.  I run the refresh process but that does not update anything as we use the Plan cycle dates.
