Goal Management Mass Assign Process loss of functionality in new UI

Summary

Previously when scheduling a Mass Assign process we were able to get a count of eligible records. The new UI does not support that feature.

We recently had a situation where a Goal was mass assigned to over 7,000 employees when it should have only been assigned to 300 even though our Eligibility Profile was accurate.  We are still unclear how this could have happen but the only option we were given to clean things up was to manually remove the goal from 6,700 records.  This turned out to be a major undertaking which could have been easily caught if there was a way to validate the results before committing.
