Script to identify when Parent Account is updated or linked to Child Account

Content

Hello,

I create a before update script to fetch all the parent account attributes to child account, but when i link the parent to child account and click on Save, that script is not getting executed. It will execute once i make another update on the child account and click on save.

I tried debugging the issue, and put simple println on before update trigger on account object. Now I changed the parent account. I found that println not executed. This means, sales cloud is not identifying when the parent account linked to the child account is getting changed/updated.
