Modify the categories listed in HRM_READINESS_CATEGORY

We are implementing Succession Planning and have a requirement to change the default options under Setup&Maintenance>Manage Common Lookups>HRM_READINESS_CATEGORY.  Would appreciate some guidance if anyone has successfully achieved this or can provide more info?

We made changes but do not see the changes applied when expanding the list.  Not sure if there is a scheduled process that may need to be run to implement the changes.
