Beneficiary or Participant Index Issues into Candidate Search?

Has anyone had any issues with internal colleagues who are also beneficiaries and or participants on plans under another employee indexing into the Candidate Search? If so, how did you resolve this? 

We have a profile error we are trying to research that is causing certain employees to not render in the candidate search or be able to apply to jobs.
