Does Oracle Cloud (ERP) Sales utilize Vertex Updates if you are licensed for them

I am taking a stab at asking this question.

Does entering Contacts in Sales go through iterations to validate street, city, state, zip when entering?

If so, we utilize Vertex table updates as part of HCM/Payroll and am wondering if there is a link to the Sales module as well.
