Summary

Who should be owning cost management from implementation perspective?

Content

Hi Experts,

This is not a general post but something we all need to discuss as Oracle Implementation consultants.

What has happened over the years, and since costing configuration was hard tied to Inventory & manufacturing from a setup perspective, for good or bad, manufacturing implementation consultants came to be regarded as cost management implementation consultants.

I am sure everyone would agree that CM is a business function, requiring good understanding of costing principles, accounting and financials, & is different from core manufacturing and inventory functions. Expecting a core inventory or a manufacturing consultant to deliver costing solution is unreasonable and illogical.

Howdy, Stranger!
