Data Security when creating HCM OTBI reports for non-HR users

We want to create a few reports that need to be available to either Finance or Office Managers which get the data from the Oracle HCM module. Some examples, but not limited to:

  • Absence Accrual data for financial budgeting
  • Worker Address data (sending a fruit basket to a sick employee)
  • Employee numbers (which is a person DFF) and cost center (assignment) for accounting employees processing salary batches

I am struggling to find out how to grant the data access. I could just give them access to the subject area via a privilege and then grant data access to them for all persons, but I feel that this will give them way too much access in UI. Also, we don't want them to be able to create reports on these subject area themselves (this is an important requirement).

Howdy, Stranger!
