Checklist Shows Past Start Date for Rehires

We are seeing the Start Date from a previous employee assignment on the Basic Information section of the Checklist for a Rehire

We have encountered a situation where the Checklist shows the previous assignment details including the former Position and Start Date in the Basic Information section of a Checklist.  We are processing a Rehire who is the result of a new candidate job application merged with an ex-Employee in Recruiting and then the Move to HR generates an Enterprise Onboarding Checklist.  When you look at the Checklist record within the Onboarding view for the HR user, it shows the proper future Start Date.  However, if you click and open the Checklist, you see former Position details and the old Start Date.
